In high school Stephanie was involved in 4-H, a junior horseback riding club, and was an avid French horn musician, playing at the Fiesta Bowl and attending music camp at Interlochen, Michigan as well as playing in the band at College of Southern Idaho. After college she worked for Ada County Juvenile Court as a Probation Officer and the State of Idaho as a Juvenile Services Coordinator. She then found her passion in adoptions when she joined Casi Foundation for Children and began helping children to find their forever family. In 2004 she founded A New Beginning Adoption Agency with 1 small office and 2 employees. A New Beginning continues serving families with 11 employees, a counselling center, and many trainings for adoptive parents. A New Beginning has helped many families adopt as well a provide support for birth parents. She loved hosting birth mothers at the annual birth mother tea on Mother’s Day Weekend, which was her final event. She continued as Executive Director until her death.
Stephanie leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory forever. She married her best friend, Kevin, on June 6, 1998 who she met in the singles group, at Nampa First Church of the Nazarene and they lived in Nampa, Coeur d’Alene, and Eagle, before settling in Boise. They welcomed their first child, Jenna Jiongzhu Noelle, in August of 2002, from Taizhou, China who was 9 months old at the time of her adoption. They welcomed son Nathan Jeffrey, in January 2007 at St Alphonsus Hospital in Boise. In December of 2021 they welcomed Joy Williams from Abeokuta, Nigeria, who came to Boise to study at Boise Bible College.
Since Stephanie was a baby she loved to camp, and that continued with Kevin and family. They enjoyed many camping trips in Idaho, trips to the Oregon Coast, New York City, Maine, Disneyworld, and international trips to China, Canada, Mexico, Costa Rica, and most recently in January 2025 Santorini, Greece and Paris France. She developed a love for birds, and had a cockatiel (Salsa), ringneck (Nugget) and quaker (Pepe). Also she had a love for her pup, Evie, a Coton de Tuleur.
In 2018 Stephanie found Elevation Church on YouTube and began an Elevation watch party at her office as well as an online Elevation eGroup, hosting a Bible Study for people around the world, which is how she met Joy.
