Stephanie C. Payne of Oskaloosa, KS passed away at home on September 17, 2024. She was a retired nurse and nurse instructor and loved both her work and her fellow nurses, many of whom she stayed in touch with over the years. She loved being part of the healing process and never stopped trying to understand and learn more about health and healing.

She was also an avid and life-long dog lover, and spent a great deal of time in her retirement saving homeless dogs and helping dog rescues. She was well-known for her extensive knowledge of canine dietary health and saved the lives of a number of dogs, in particular with a special treatment protocol that she, together with a veterinarian, created while searching for a treatment for one of her own dogs. 

Stephanie was looking forward to many more years of freedom and will be much missed by her friends, but she is now reunited with her family and her many dogs. Rest in peace, dear friend. 

INTERMENT is 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at Mt. Hope Cemetery, 4700 SW 17th St., Topeka KS.
