I was honored to be one of Stephanie’s middle school math and science teachers. May she rest in peace. 

You were amazing, strong, and beautiful person.  You made a wonderful friend back in high school and brought joy to this world 

The pirate crew is without its leader .. whatever shall we do? It seems so unreal. Condolences to your loved ones.

I briefly got to know Stephanie back at Catawba College in 2009. I was new to the school and had found friendship with her as well as her whole group. Many times we would all visit her dorm and just hang out watching one of her favorite movies The Rocky Horror Picture Show. I will cherish the numerous memories we all shared together and how cheerful she was even when things were looking rough for her on days. I'm so saddened to hear of her passing and can hope she is at peace now.

We at Pender Early College High School are so saddened by this sudden loss. Stephanie worked closely with our students providing them an opportunity to also give back to the community as she does. Her energy and passion will be missed!
