Stephanie Ann Bressette
Stephanie Ann Bresette (nee Brazerol) died peacefully on January 2, 2022 at the age of 73, in Navarre, Florida. She was born on April 18, 1948 in Duluth, Minnesota to Russell O. Brazerol and Elizabeth Louise (nee Peterson).
Stephanie who was known as Stevie, attended public school in Duluth along with her younger sister, Patrice. Stephanie graduated from East High School in Duluth where she was active in theater, taking a role in the senior class play. She was a member of the National Thespian Society and Future teachers of America. She was also involved in numerous committees.
She graduated from the University of Minnesota – Duluth with a degree in education and went to work as a teacher in the Duluth Public schools. She also bought property in Duluth and collected antiques. She left her job as a teacher and moved to Bayfield, Wisconsin where she was involved in various business ventures. In 1987, she married Ellie Edward Bresette. They moved to Port Washington, Wisconsin where they jointly ran a bed and breakfast inn in the William Guy House on Grand Avenue.
In 2004, She and Ellie moved back to Bayfield where she was involved with the Bayfield Community Education Foundation. She served on the Bayfield Architectural Review Board. Stephanie was also a member of the Bayfield School Board, resigning in October, 2018. She lived her final years in Navarre, Florida.
She will be remembered as someone who cared deeply about high-quality education and using the most effective teaching methods to provide it. She also loved to preserve historical architecture, beautiful old furniture, and Christmas – everything to do with Christmas. She was preceded in death by both of her parents. She is survived by her husband, Ellie, and by her sister, Pat.
