Stephan Family, my sincere condolences. Losing someone you love is never easy, and it’s even harder when their life feels cut short.
The Bible gives us real comfort at John 11:11, Jesus compares death to a peaceful sleep, and Jehovah promises to wake our loved ones again. Acts 24:15 reminds us of that beautiful hope of the resurrection. May this hope give you comfort and strength as you look forward to seeing Wilson again.

The news of Steph’s passing is finally sinking in. Growing up and living in different parts of the world, meant that (esp. in the early years) we didn’t see each other much. Luckily, once we got older, there were more opportunities: weddings, family gatherings and visits. Steph & me - paired up as groomsman and bridesmaid at Julie and Jeff’s wedding, smoking cigars at Mike’s, and in November, at Jake and Amanda’s. Good memories of you and your orange beetle, yelling “where’s the beef” at BBQ @Julie’s, visiting you in Arizona when Grant was just a little boy. When I was living with your parents, if I picked up the phone, he was confused whether it was me or mom (one-tow-tree was a famous quote 🤭). The times spent together were definitely quality over quantity.
Our last time, he sounded so happy about life in (cold) Idaho and the plan to visit Holland ‘soon’. So sad this will never happen.
My thoughts are with Grant, Sammy, tante Puck, Julie, Mike, Marci and the extended Wilson family. Wishing you lots of love and strength to give this loss a place.
For me - my big, loving cuz Stephan will forever hold a spot in my heart ❤️.
With love, ‘M’ xxx

Where do you start? Steph has been in my life for over 35 years! More than half my life; he, his wonderful kids Grant and Sammy, Monica, and extensions of family/friends have been on this journey together with me. Time before our kids were even born, family reunions in El Centro, groomsman in my wedding, all the visits to AZ, Christmas's in San Diego, and so much more. But what I will really miss is his annual visit to San Clemente and the first thing he always wanted to do; ride our EV bikes down to beach and stop at a brewery for a couple of pints. Those moments with just him and I, bragging about our kids, home much he hated the AZ heat and was finally moving, Broncos/Chargers, and our crazy gov. We have done so much together, which I am thankful and blessed for, but so much still to do! But I cherish those Mission Bay boat days, pool time in Anthem, Old town dinners with family, visiting us in CO, and my favorite time; having a whiskey and cigar in my backyard after a day spending time together. Like his father Gilbert, I had the opportunity to see the softer side many times. Whether it was trust, respect, integrity, or all of them, there was an underlining feeling towards each other, similar to Gilbert, that allowed our relationship to go just a little deeper. I will always cherish that side and it always makes me smile when I hear other people describe them both. So true in there explanations, but there was so much more too! Steph, you left too soon and I will miss you very much. I promise to love your kids as hard as you did and always love and respect your sister Julie as I promised I would.
Here are a few fun, unique pics for everyone to enjoy. Big love and prayers to all the Wilson family.

Stephan's family,
My sincerest condolences to you all. Although my time working with Steph was short he was always kind and caring. His presence was known as stoic, interesting (we always learned something new about him that we would not have expected) and compassionate. He will be truly missed.

Sammy and Grant,
I’m sorry for your loss. It was too soon to lose your Dad. It also leaves a huge hole in my heart. We were partners in crime on Trophy Drive and Fiesta Lane.
Steph, The rematch of front yard football against our brothers Michael and Paul will have to wait for the heavens. Have a three finger tequila shot with Tio Gilbert and Lupe. Bro, you will be missed
Love Cuz Chris
