It is with profound sorrow we announce the passing of Stella Collins, a cherished family member, friend, and a respected figure in the medical community. Stella was born on November 3rd, 1961 and sadly left us on February 10th, 2024. Renowned for her wit, care, and uplifting personality, Stella's memory will forever shine in the hearts of all who knew her.

Stella is survived by her loving children, daughter Naomi Dove, son EJ Simmons, and her adorable grandchildren - Janiah Dove, Jamisia Simmons, Sunny Dove, Jalen Simmons, Jason Simmons, Malachi Simmons, and Jah’kari Simmons. She also leaves behind her beloved brother, Leroy Collins, sister Benita Collins, brother Charles Collins, and cherished nieces and nephews.

Stella was reunited in death with her departed siblings - Vivian Collins, Bernard Collins, Sam Collins, and Janie Ruffin. She will also be reunited with her dear friends Lisa and Lori.

In her lifetime, Stella made significant strides in her career, working alongside some of the most distinguished operating room doctors and nurses for the last 30 years. Stella was a woman who was truly herself, imparting wisdom to those around her about the importance of self-acceptance.

In her personal life, Stella was an ardent supporter of the Chicago Bears, a fan of Chik-Fil-A Market Salad, and found solace in her favorite color, Navy Blue. She was an active individual, often seen enjoying her Lululemon exercise smart mirror, indicating her dedication towards maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Her greatest joy, however, was sharing her life with all of her grandchildren. To each one, she gave a special 'Nana' experience, treating them with utmost fairness and love. These precious memories that she created for her grandchildren were the sources of ultimate peace and joy, both for her and for others who witnessed these beautiful interactions.

A memorial service to honor the extraordinary life led by Stella will be held on February 27th, 2024 at 11:00 AM at 4143 Dale Blvd. In lieu of flowers, funds are being raised as an expression of support for the family at https://everloved.com/life-of….

Stella's vibrant energy, insightful wisdom, and nurturing love will be greatly missed but never forgotten. Her resilience, generosity, and vibrant spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.
