Background
As many of you know, my mother has had quite the journey with her health over the past few years. Despite this, she has been doing everything she could to remain on the upside of her struggles. While her death was unexpected, she managed her care the best way she knew how to maintain her quality of life, independence and what brought her the most joy; her grandchildren. I know in my heart she did not want to be a burden to my brother and I in her afterlife, and did everything to guide us as much as she could to navigate what will be our new normal. It warms my heart to see so many people who loved her reach out and offering ways of support. In lieu of flowers, we appreciate any monetary donation that will cushion the additional expenses that occurs with grieving for not only my brother and I, but her grandchildren.
