Stefan's obituary

Stefan "Steve" Wojcich of Iselin, passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2021, at the age of 72. After several months of declining health, Steve died peacefully with his beloved wife Anna and their children by his side.

He was born in Germany and resided in Irvington and Iselin his entire life. Steve had a life long career in the freight industry and retired in 2012. He was predeceased by his parents, Mykola and Sofia Wojcich and a brother Paul. Surviving are his wife Anna; daughter Kristina and boyfriend Steven Juchnik of Westfield; daughter Trisha and husband Wayne Bishop of Clark; and one granddaughter: Stefanie. Steve loved his sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, his many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Steve was the most loving father and husband a family could ask for. He was also an amazing Grandpa to his "little princess" Stefanie. Anyone that knew Steve would describe him as hard-working, fun-loving, selfless and kind. Throughout his life, he enjoyed building things and was always ready to lend a hand. Steve loved old movies and TV shows, especially Star Wars and Star Trek. He loved 50's music, the New York Yankees, and making Italian hot dogs. Steve's favorite thing in the world was spending time with his family. He especially loved playing with his granddaughter Stefanie. He always said that his granddaughter kept him young at heart and you could see that when they were together. He absolutely loved being a grandparent.

Steve is being cremated, per his request there will be no services at this time.
