Stanley's obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Stanley Edward Stala, Jr., affectionately known as Stan, on May 2, 2025. Stanley was born on December 1, 1949, in Chicago, IL and will be forever remembered for his sincere, positive, and enthusiastic spirit.
Stanley was a man of many accomplishments, but his greatest was undoubtedly his devotion to his faith, living a life as a humble Disciple of Christ. His passion for spirituality and helping others was a testament to his kind, loving heart. His unwavering positivity carried him through life, radiating a warmth that comforted many around him.
Stanley is survived by his beloved wife Loretta Stala. His legacy will continue through his beloved sons Danny, Calarm, and Larone, daughters Joy, Dawn, Quiana, and Quishawna, and son-in-law Jason. His pride and joy were his grandchildren Camyia, Cayden, Eve, DJ, Amadeus, Larone Jr., Lamari, and LaShon, and great grandchild Lei'mani. He is preceded in death by his parents Josephine and Stanley Stala, Sr. and his brother Bruce. Stanley often reminded us of the importance of making good memories and made an impact through the love, generosity, and wisdom he shared.
A Celebration of Life for Stanley will be held on May 24, 2025, at 11 AM at Armitage Baptist Church located at 2451 N Kedzie Blvd, Chicago, IL, in the lower level Fellowship Hall. We invite all those who loved him to gather and share their cherished memories of Stanley, a man who will be terribly missed, fondly loved, and always remembered.
Though his passing leaves a void in our hearts, we take comfort in knowing that his light will continue to shine in all who knew him. Stanley's spirit will remain alive in our memories and his teachings will guide us in our lives. His life was a beautiful example of love and generosity, and we are blessed to have known him.
