Stanley's obituary

Stanley Ramey Frost Jr., age 79, of Charleston, SC, passed away on October 12, 2024. Born on March 9, 1945, Stanley's life was marked by a profound dedication to fairness, justice, and discipline, characteristics that defined both his personal and professional life.

A proud alumnus of the University of Maine, Stanley seamlessly transitioned into a distinguished career that combined his actuarial skills and computer expertise at prominent companies such as Travelers and Aetna. His professional life was paralleled by notable military service as a Captain in the US Army, where he Commanded an Artillery Unit in combat in the Vietnam War. His bravery and sacrifice were honored with the Purple Heart.

Stanley was a member of the Unitarian Church, where he found a community that shared his values and beliefs. He enjoyed his time with the Charleston Jung Society and in his role as Shaman in his grandmother's Oglala Lakota Tribe.  His passion for sailing provided him with not only a cherished hobby but also a sense of peace and freedom on the water.

He leaves behind a loving family, including his first wife, Nancy Nicholson; second wife, Heidi Herrick; daughter, Alicia Sirois; and sons, Stanley Frost III, David Frost, Joshua Frost, and Peter Frost. He is also survived by his brother Ron and his sisters Susan and Ramona. His life will be celebrated at Arlington National Cemetery at a future date, where friends and family will gather to honor his memory and legacy.
