Stacy's obituary

Stacy Louise Kirk passed away unexpectedly on June 30, 2025 at her home in Duncan, Oklahoma. She was born April 14, 1988 in Wichita Falls, Texas, the daughter of Kerry and Cheryl Kirk of Amarillo.

Stacy graduated from Plainview High School, class of 2006. While in high school, she was a trumpet player in the "Power House of the Plains Marching Band" as well as in the Honors Band. She was elected student officer, librarian and section leader in the band program. She also competed in Speech and Debate competitions at Plainview High School. Following graduation, she attended West Texas A&M University in an English Literature and Business degree plan. After her studies at WT, she was heavily involved in animal rescue and foster services with local Humane Societies. She was a self-taught horse and dog trainer. Stacy worked as a rural mail carrier for the USPS, worked in the hospitality industry (motels) and as a Customer Service Representative for major health insurance providers.

She is survived by her mother and father, Cheryl and Kerry Kirk of Amarillo, Texas, and her older brother, Anthony, his wife Katherine and their sons James and Logan of Odessa, Texas. Other close family members include Danny and Kristie Bixler, Layne and Susan Kirk, Timothy and Lynn Schisler, Susan Richardson along with many cousins and her best life friend Ashley DeLeon.
