Sr. Anna Heaney passed peacefully August 23, 2024 at age 93.

Sr. Anna was born to Lawrence and Catherine Heaney on February 09, 1931 in Philadelphia. At a young age she felt she had a vocation and took her vows in Angiers in 1948. She trained as a nun and spent many years working in the inner city of Paris. She subsequently completed training as a teacher and returned to the United States, settled in the Mercy mission in Burlingame, CA.  Remembered for her kindness and acts of charity, Sr. Anna joins her brothers, Lawrence and John, and her sister Mary in Heaven. She is survived by her brother Tom of PA, her sister Lilith of NJ, nieces, nephews and extended family. 

Good and upright is the Lord;

therefore He shows sinners the way.

He guides the humble in what is right

and teaches them His way.
