Spencer's obituary
Spencer Marquardt of Westerville, Ohio passed away at the age of 31 on August 4th of 2024. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Edna (Fritz) Marquardt and older brother, Lucas, whom he shared an incredibly special bond with. He is survived by his mother, Valerie Marquardt; father, Mike Marquardt; twin sister, Danielle (Milap) Mehta; nephew, Niam Mehta; maternal grandparents, Marty (Martin) Cannon, Bill (Lorelle) Driggs, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends alike.
Spencer loved musicals, helping others, giving hugs and high fives, and dancing to a vast variety of music. You could often find him brushing off his shoulder to Ushers smash hit “Yeah”. He enjoyed spending time with his nurses who became a second family; Nikki, Mariam, Goodness, and Joyce. Those who knew and cared for him learned patience and the art of living in the moment. Spencer also taught all of us how to love and accept people for who they are. He will be sorely missed by all of those who were touched by his light.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Spencer by performing acts of kindness towards loved ones, acquaintances, and strangers, especially those who are less fortunate. Spencer made the world a better place by never passing judgment toward others and lighting up a room with his dance moves, smile and loving hugs. We can only hope that by implementing acts of kindness in his honor that we can make the world brighter amidst the darkness left in his absence.
