Sophia's obituary
Sophia Chanelle Chartier, age 5 was granted her angel wings on May 10 2022, at the Children's Hospital Of Philadelphia, Philadelphia, PA. Sophia was born on June 20, 2016. Sophia spent most of her short life battling cancer, and she was a fighter till the end. Although her time with her family was short, she touched many lives and was loved deeply by those around her.
Sophia possessed special light, strength and perseverance. Even through her pain and suffering, she found a way to smile. Her positivity was contagious. She was smart, funny, caring and kind, an old sole at 5 years old. She took whatever circumstances came her way and made the ability to overcome incredible odds. With her courage she led us to believe that each day is a blessing and an opportunity to create lasting memories.
She loved dressing up in ball gowns and princess dresses. Her favorite time was spent on the beach looking for shells or catching lizards and butterflies in our garden. Also, taking strolls through parks and connecting with nature. She was happiest when she was at home in her "footsie" pajamas surrounded by her favorite people.
Surviving are her loving parents Milda and Marcel Chartier; her older sister Raven Chartier; maternal grandmother "babyt" Vita Jurkeviciene; paternal grandmother "memere" and grandfather "pepere", Joyce and Marcel Sr. Chartier; aunt Celine Emerson; uncle Christian Chartier and their families; Godmother Ieva Struzaite; Godfather Kazimieras Rusas; treasured nephew Elijah and beloved dog Jack. Many other aunts, uncles, and cousins, as well as a host of loving relatives
