Sonya's obituary

Sonya Denysenko, 44, passed away on January 9, 2026. She was born on February 12, 1981, in Rochester, New York.

Sonya earned her MBA from Emory University and achieved many significant professional milestones, including implementing call centers for major healthcare systems. Despite her dedication and success, she never lost sight of what truly mattered. Sonya was generous with both her time and her good fortune, always giving to others with an open and compassionate heart.

A passionate traveler, Sonya explored all corners of the world, experiencing countless adventures throughout Asia, Africa, the Middle East, South America, and Europe. She lived in Dubai for three years, where she welcomed her parents, nieces, and nephews to stay with her and experience its wonders and rich culture firsthand. Sonya embraced life with a free spirit and found joy in discovering new places, meeting new people, and embracing new experiences.

She is survived by her mother and best friend, Jerry; her father, Victor; her siblings, Christina and Gregory; and many loving nieces and nephews. Sonya was also a devoted dog mom to her beloved Lulu, who brought her endless joy and companionship.

Sonya lived a life that inspired everyone who knew her. She was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
