Sonny Edward Wright, age 83, of Clarksville, Tennessee, passed away on December 25, 2025. He was born August 13, 1942, in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Sonny was known for his fun-loving, adventurous spirit, kind heart, and playful sense of humor. A proud U.S. Marine Corps veteran, he later served his community as a deputy with the Montgomery County Sheriff's Department. He loved cooking for family and friends and enjoyed friendly cooking competitions with his Sunday School class at First Baptist Church St.Bethlehem, where he and his wife were members.

Sonny and his wife, Theresa, made Clarksville their home in 1998.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Edna Watson, and sister, Carol Tuma.

He is survived by his wife, Theresa Wright; children, Randy Wright, Steve Wright, Ryan (Taylor) Wright, Alyx (Chelsey) Wright, and Katelyn (Jeffrey) Wright; and grandchildren, Ryli Wright, Laci Wright, Zoi Wright, Jaeden Cunningham, Jayceon Cunningham, Jersey Cunningham, and Jovy Cunningham.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 3, 2026, at First Baptist Church St. Bethlehem, 2232 Wilma Rudolph Blvd., Clarksville, TN. Visitation will be from 12:00-2:00 p.m., with the service at 2:00 p.m.
