Melvin " SONNY"'s obituary

Sonny Haag went home to Jesus on February 16, 2022 at age 88.  Sonny was born to Ken and Roxie Haag on October 31, 1933 in Buffalo, NY. As a child, Sonny loved swimming in the Niagara River and as a young adult he loved fast cars!  He loved racing  his Tiger 10 at the Sara-mana Raceway every weekend. Sonny met his wife, Eloise in 1950 at Sarasota High. They married in 1954 and went on to have 3 children, Paul, Char and Danette.  In addition to being a dedicated and loving father, Sonny also loved his grandchildren; they were his heart and joy.  Wether it was a Christmas play, birthday or ballgame- he was there and he was their NUMBER ONE fan! Throughout his life, he held an unwavering faith in God, which he shared with those who surrounded him. Sonny joins his wife Eloise, his father Ken, his mother Roxie, and his two brothers Bill and Don in Heaven. He is survived by his children- Paul Haag (Sue), Charlene Parks (David), Danette Rogers (Ronnie); Grandchildren- Lee Parks (Tammy), Michelle Haag, Matt Parks, Tracey Reynolds (Jason), Sandy Smith, Jacob Rogers, Ryan Rogers;  Great-Grandchildren, Ali Kelley, Shelby Parks, Breon Branic, Nathan Kelley and Ava Reynolds.
