Sonia Ann Cadiere Courville, lovingly known as Sue or Susie, went to be with The Lord on October 6, 2025, at the age of 68.

Born on August 15, 1957, in Houma, Louisiana, Sue was the daughter of the late Lilly and Harris "PeeWee" Cadiere. She carried the warmth of her upbringing into every chapter of her life.

Sue had a deep and unwavering faith in Jesus Christ, which guided her words, her actions, and the way she loved others. Her life was a reflection of that faith; full of grace, kindness, and compassion. She was a source of comfort and encouragement to those around her, always pointing others to hope and love.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 53 miraculous years, Douglas Courville, and their four children: Scotty, Gidget, Seth, and Cody Courville.

Sue was one of five children and is also survived by her siblings: Jean Bergeron, Peggy Marcel, Thomas Cadiere, and Timothy Cadiere.

Family was everything to Sue. She was a proud and loving grandmother to 16 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Her family was her greatest joy, and she treasured every moment spent with them.

She was preceded in death by her grandson, Brennen and great-granddaughter Ainsley Courville, whose memory she held close.

Known for her vibrant spirit, Sue loved dancing and a good party, often being the one to bring fun and laughter wherever she went.

Her eyes were kind, her voice was warm, and her heart was wide open. She will be remembered for her enduring love, her joyful presence, her genuine heart, and the quiet strength of her faith. Her life was a beautiful example of love in action, and her legacy will continue to inspire those who knew and loved her.

A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date for immediate family.
