Sondra “Sandy” Reed

December 23, 1947 – December 22, 2024

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Sondra Reed, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who left this world on December 22, 2024, just one day shy of her 77th birthday. Sandy passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on December 23, 1947, Sandy was a lifelong resident of Richmond, where she touched countless lives with her humor, wit, and unwavering spirit. She was known for her warm heart, her frank comments, and her remarkable ability to win every game she played.

Sandy’s life was defined by her love for her family and friends. She was a devoted mother and a proud grandmother. Sandy's humor was infectious whether she was cooking and cleaning, playing cards with her friends and family, or chatting with customers in her checkout line at Lucky's. She was not afraid to tell you exactly what she thought.

She is survived by her husband, Bob; her children, Bobby and Lyndsey; her daughter-in-law, Tamara; her grandchildren, Layla, Hudson, and Donovan; her sisters; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends who cherished her deeply. Her legacy of love, stubborn fortitude, and generosity will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

Sondra Reed was a beacon of light to those around her. While her physical presence will be greatly missed, her spirit and the love she shared will remain eternal.
