Background

Hello Everyone, this is my father Somchay Vongsoury. He is the man
that brought me and my family into the country in 1980. I was born in 1981. He was a very hard working and traditional man. He always took care of us and made sure there was a roof over our head while Syphanta Vongsoury my mother took care of us and always kept our bellies full and made sure we grew up right. He loved fishing and crabbing and liked being around people. He was very social at the Bars and had lots of friends. He was also a very handy man fixing cars and working on projects at the house to working on the garden with moms. Yesterday I received a call from my sister that he was not going to make it. 2 weeks ago I heard him and my mom somehow got the virus and I thought he would pull through since he was going on his 3rd week. I'm still trying to process all of this just because he is still young and just hit 65 not too long ago. I went to the hospital with my mom and saw him one last time, it was really painful for me to see him like that. my mom was able to pull through and is very thankful and blessed she is still alive. But soon after I left the hospital a few hours later I got that phone call that his heart stopped. He was the main source of income along with my sister Somchanh Vongsoury. With everything going on it comes down to my sister and she currently not working due to covid and is going through a lot now and is very overwhelmed. I was very hesitant to do this, but I have set up a gofundme account to assist with costs such as funeral, lawyer fees and bills to help the family keep the house.
Every little bit helps, if your able to assist that'd be great. If not, I'm not mad at you.
Anyone who are friends of the family or the Laos Community who knew My dad or our family, please notify people who are friends of us of what is going on.
