Skylar's obituary
Skylar was born on October 13th of 1955 to Paul and Mary(Butts) Cappitelli in Chicago, IL.
Skylar had three children, Robert, Brian and Erin.
Skylar had many professions over the years but her favorite career was as a school bus driver where she excelled working with every one of her students.
When Skylar had Robert, she decided to dedicate her life to being a fantastic and wonderful mother. Skylar excelled at propping up members of her family and supporting them through the many passions and difficulties of their lives. Whether that was supporting Robert in his passion for music and the arts or supporting Erin in her journey to start a family and help others, she made it her mission to improve the lives of others. She brought the same dedication she had to her children to her grandchildren as well. She did anything in her means to make sure they were all happy and healthy.
Skylar was always an incredibly creative person. It was really after her son, Robert, encouraged her later in life to pick the pain brush up again that we all were blessed to witness her creative energy on the canvas. She wouldn't only paint but created other forms of art, as well. She was always working on her next project and most of the time she was making art to gift to others. She was selfless even in her artistry.
More than anything Skylar will be remembered for her welcoming, caring, forgiving and generous spirit. Everyone who met her fell in love with her throughout the entirety of her life. She was always willing to give to others even when she didn't have the means to do so. Everyone felt like they were her sister, brother, daughter, son or family member.
Skylar is survived by her partner Jesse Alexander, her children Robert Cappitelli, Brian Cappitelli and Erin (Cappitelli) Swillum. Her son in law Ian Swillum. Her grandchildren Samantha Sylverne, Jordan and Ethan Cappitelli, and Cullen and Tara Swillum. Her siblings John, Susan, Paul and Phil. As well as, many nieces and nephews and close friends.
