Sislie's obituary
In Loving Memory of Sislie Stewart
Sislie’s faith was never something she tried to put on display. It was simply who she was—quiet, steady, and real. She loved the Lord with her whole heart, and it was evident in the way she lived each day.
She carried a strength that did not need to be announced. Even in moments that were heavy or uncertain, she remained grounded. She chose grace when it would have been easier to choose something else. She kept trusting God, even when the path was not clear. That kind of faith does not fade—it leaves a mark on the people who witness it.
Sislie had a way of making people feel seen without saying much at all. There was warmth in her presence and care in the way she listened. She did not need attention to show love; she gave it freely in quiet and meaningful ways that stayed with you long after the moment passed.
The peace she carried came from her relationship with God, and somehow she shared that peace with others. In her presence, things felt a little lighter, a little more steady. She reminded us—without many words—that God is near and that we are never alone.
Today, we feel the weight of her absence. That kind of love is not easily let go. But even in grief, there is something deeper to hold onto. Sislie believed in the Lord fully, without hesitation. And because of that, we trust that she is now at peace—resting, whole, in the presence of the One she loved so deeply.
Her life was not loud, but it was powerful. It shaped people. It softened hearts. It pointed others toward something greater. And that does not end here.
We carry her with us now—in how we love, in how we choose grace, and in how we hold onto faith when life feels uncertain.
That is her legacy. And it will continue to live on.
