Sione Laupe Ekita Halalilo, 69, of Hilo, passed away on November 17, 2019 at Pohai Malalo. He was born on November 13, 1950 in Tonga. He was a retired stone mason.

Laupe is survived by sons Sanalio (Naati) Halalilo of Tonga, Taniela Lea’aetoa (Josephine) Halalilo of New Zealand; daughter Mele Valeti halalilo (Jay) Latu; brothers Sanalio (Mary) Halalilo of TX, Kesomi (Kelela) Halalilo of CA, Mosese (Iunisi) Halalilo of Tonga, Sonatane (Mameiloka) Halalilo of Tonga; sister Melefehi (Kaufo’ou) Lelenoa; 10 grandchildren, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
