Born on May 23, 1948, she lived a life full of creativity, love, and an unwavering belief in the beauty of her dreams and the dreams of those she loved.

Throughout her life, Simsun navigated multiple cities, making each one her home. Born and raised in Pennsylvania, she later moved to California, New York, and Connecticut. Each place added a unique hue to her life's vibrant canvas.

Simsun was a proud alumna of West Chester University, graduating in 1971 with a B.A. in Fine and Studio Arts. She later completed a M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy from University of Bridgeport in 1983. Her education was a testament to her diverse interests and her belief in lifelong learning.
