Simplicia's obituary
Simplicia Purugganan Agustin passed away on August 23, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. Born on November 20, 1937, she lived 87 wonderful years, spreading joy to all who knew her. A source of comfort and light, Simplicia cherished time in her garden and devoted herself to caring for her family, especially her fifteen grandchildren.
Simplicia was born and raised in the Philippines, where she developed the values of faith, family, and hard work that would guide her throughout her life.
Simplicia shared a long and loving marriage with her devoted husband, Rodolfo Agustin. Together, they built a life centered on love, strong values, and family. They raised six children: Mila, Rosie, Christy, Rudy Jr., Gena, and Rey, instilling in them the same devotion and care that defined their marriage.
Simplicia had a joyful spirit and found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. She loved tending to her garden, grocery shopping for her family, cooking meals with care, and never missed an opportunity to cheer on her favorite wrestlers. She also enjoyed traveling, and her playful sense of humor often shone through in the way she teased her husband Rodolfo.
Simplicia’s greatest legacy is the love she instilled in her family. She is survived by her husband, Rodolfo; her children Rosie, Christy, Rudy Jr., Gena, and Rey; her fifteen grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Mila Caparas.
Her warmth, kindness, and humor will be forever remembered.
