It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Simeamativa Tautu Chang Wang, who left us on April 16, 2025. Born in October 04, 1965. Simeamativa had a vibrant and impactful life, touching many with her loving and uplifting spirit.
Simeamativa was predeceased by her beloved husband Kuuipo (John) Chang Wang, and she leaves behind a strong and beautiful family that carries her legacy. She is survived by her daughters, Cinta Tautu, Berina Tafili, Leilay Onairy, Lin Hansen, and Nora Chang Wang and her son, John Tautu.
Simeamativa had a deeply engrained love for education and continuous improvement, she graduated from the American Samoa Community College in 1999, located at ASCC P.O. Box 2609, Pago Pago, Western District, American Samoa. A proud graduate, she always emphasized the significance of education to her family and friends.
Through her bubbly, yet strict personality, Simeamativa brought joy, love, and discipline into the lives of everyone she met. She had a genuine love for the simple pleasures of life. Samoa, her favorite vacation spot, held a special place in her heart.
Simeamativa's life was a testament of her unwavering faith and trust in God. "Stay in church and trust in God" was her mantra that she not only preached but lived by every day. She will be remembered for her persistent admonitions about faith, love, and compassion.
The epitome of her life's work and her greatest accomplishment, as she would humbly say, were her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Upon her, they bestowed a legacy that she would always cherish. Her legacy lives on through them, a lineage of love, faith, and resilience.
Simeamativa Tautu Chang Wang will always remain in our hearts, remembered for her abundant love, warm demeanor, and incredible strength. Her legacy of love will continue to flourish through her descendants, and her life will be an enduring beacon of faith and resilience for all who knew her.
