Silvio's obituary
Silvio was a college All-American football player, and he had to make a choice as to go play for the New York Giants who drafted him, or to continue the family business. He chose the business, and shortly after met Carol, his wife of 59 years, and married and started a family with her. While Silvio was a hard-working business man, he was also a devoted and loving father, coming home and helping his wife frequently when they had 3 children 4 and under.
Silvio enjoyed the simple things in life. His favorite things to do were to enjoy authentic, homemade Italian dinners (which his wife Carol blessed him with daily throughout his life), and he loved going out to dinner with his friends and family, bringing an assortment of thoughtfully collected wines for all to enjoy. He had a passion for fresh produce- especially fresh fruit- and would travel to various grocery stores weekly to get the best of the best from each store. Silvio always loved to get up and go, and even in his last years, although not feeling his best, traveled across the country to San Diego to see his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Silvio passed away on September 5, 2020.
He is survived by his wife, Carol, his children, Michael, Pam, and the late Diana Catts, his grandchildren, Rachel, Brielle, Juliana, Mark, Shannon, and Dillon, and his great grandchildren, Soleil, Bodhi, Ezri and Kelsa. He is also survived by his brother Eugene and his sister Elizabeth.
