Sikirat's obituary
Sikirat M. Alli
1/19/1978-1/20/2025
We honor the legacy of an incredible and resilient woman whose beautiful, bubbly personality won us over. With a heart of gold, she consistently went the extra mile for those she loved.
Sikirat grew up in Hillside, NJ, and proudly graduated as a member of Hillside High School's Class of 1995. She continued her education at William Paterson University, where she emerged as a trailblazer. During her time there, Sikirat held several esteemed positions, including Resident Assistant and President of the Student Government Association for the 1998-1999 academic year. Her charm and leadership skills shone brightly when she was crowned Homecoming Queen in 1999.
Sikirat’s commitment to service was further exemplified when she became a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Theta Upsilon Chapter, during the spring of 1998. She earned her Bachelor of Education in 1999, driven by her passion for teaching. This dedication led her to make a profound impact in the Paterson School District before later continuing her career in the Jersey City School District.
Sikirat was predeceased by her father, Bayo Alli and mother, Shanta Alli. She is survived by her brothers: Wahab Alli, Muhammad Alli and Hammed Alli. She is also survived by a host of relatives, friends and sorors.
