Ashleigh's obituary
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Siew Peng "Ashleigh" Loh. Born in the year of 1969, Ashleigh was known for her Zen, stoic, gentle, contented, and loving personality. Her life was characterized by a deep sense of contentment and stoicism, a legacy that will continue to inspire those who had the pleasure of knowing her.
A loving wife and mother, Ashleigh is survived by her devoted husband, Jason, and their three daughters, Cheryl, Amanda, and Hannah. Her greatest joy in life was caring for and nurturing her free-spirited daughters, providing them with unconditional love and the self-belief to pursue their dreams.
Known for her contented and balanced perspective on life, Ashleigh believed in the importance of looking within oneself to find true happiness and peace. She enjoyed reading books about mindfulness, admiring flowers as the seasons change, stumbling across wild mushrooms, cross-stitching, baking, binge-watching K dramas, catching up with friends over a game of mahjong (maybe coz luck seems to always favour her) and engrossing herself in word games. Her favorite foods included noodles and fish, and she derived simple pleasure from the crunch of Calbee shrimp crackers and sipping on ice cold fizzy Coca Cola, A&W root beer, the occasional riesling and sangria.
Appreciative of nature's beauty, Ashleigh loved taking walks, often in the company of her family. She enjoyed exploring the dykes in Pitt Meadows and trails around Maple Ridge. Her favorite vacation destinations were Paris, Japan and the serene landscapes of Banff and Jasper.
Quietly admired by many and dearly missed by all, Ashleigh's commitment to personal contentment and a balanced life will continue to resonate within our hearts. Her life was a testament to the power of inner peace and the joy found in the simple pleasures of life. May the lessons and values that she imparted serve as a constant reminder to find happiness within ourselves, even amidst life's challenges.
