God, we need your help while we’re grieving for Sierra “CiCi” Lehoe. Please send us the comfort and encouragement we need. Let us feel your peace and love in tangible ways. Help us adjust to life without CiCi and let go of her, entrusting her to you. Heal our hearts from the shock of the sudden passing. We believe in your promise to bring good purposes out of any situation for those who trust you. If you will, please even send us a heavenly sign that CiCi is well. As we reflect on this sudden passing, it reminds us that none of us knows how long we have left to live. Teach us to use each day that you give us to the fullest, God. Help us do all we can to live well and spread your love in this world. Please have mercy on us as we struggle with the pain of grief. Let us sense your presence with us day by day in our mourning. May we emerge from this difficult journey with a stronger faith. Thank you, God. We love you. Amen.

He guides me along the right paths for his name's sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”

For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality. When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: ‘Death has been swallowed up in victory.’ ‘Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?’ The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

John 11:25-26: “Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?’”
2 Corinthians 1:3-5: “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ.
