Sidney and I met at Taipei American School when I moved there in 10th grade. We became friends despite him always making fun of my nervousness. We hung in the same circles for most of high school. He eventually gave me the nickname of "Nervous". I must admit he was right. I am nervous still to this day. We lost touch after high school but reconnected through Facebook a few years ago. Just sorry I did not get to see him before he left us. Sidney, you left behind a legacy with your two kids and your lovely wife. May they and all of us carry on your memory.
Dear Angela, Lexi and Tony - my heartfelt condolences. I just found out today that Sidney passed in July. We were classmates at Taipei American School. He was a very good friend through our high school years. I will never forget him because he gave me the nickname of "Nervous" and often when I get nervous about things I think about him and try to calm myself down. He always told me that I was too nervous. He will be missed. My prayers and thoughts are with you during this difficult time.
Please accept my sincerest condolences. I just learned of Sidney's passing yesterday when some students from his era at Taipei American School shared lunch in Tien Mu
. Sidney was an excellent student in my United States history class decades ago. His attention to detail, enthusiasm, natural willingness to share his knowledge and help classmates always impressed me. After he went to Missouri for university, he frequently set me copies of tests he had taken. His enthusiasm for life and learning, sense of humor, work ethic, and ability to get along with everyone always impressed me. He was a super member of the school orphanage club which is still active after 50 years. May dear Sidney rest in peace. R. Arnold

I have been thinking for a few days now what I would like to say and nothing seems worthy. I know Sid in a different way. I know him from a game we have been playing together for 4 years now. I know silly, right?! But, we grew to be really good friends and he loved to make me mad daily. His day was not complete until I had an angry emoji. LOL Sid was such a joy to have around everyday. Our game has not been the same since his passing. Everyone loved Sid! He made our days better! He was there to listen..to laugh...to guide...to make us a part of his gaming family for sure! We always joked about hitting powerball and having a party for our teammates. Or our biggest rivalry, go to a Chiefs/Patriots game!! Oh he loved to discuss football and tear my team apart lol. I'm sorry to be rambling. I just have so much to say and such fond memories with him even if it was because we played a game...he was still my friend and I will cherish every memory I had of him! Angie...I am so sorry for your loss! You and your family are in my prayers and thoughts! <3

Syd was one of my favorite people at work! I loved the conversations anytime I came down to audit his department! He will be missed!
Sid, he was there for me when I lost my wife. He kept me going. Kept me strong. Kept me away from alcohol, (as best he could) He knew the meaning of ‘loss’ for me.
He was a great man. I hope his family knows the impact he had on everyone here.
He even prevented a suicide once, mine.

I’ll never forget everything he did for me. I hope his family can take some small comfort in his impact he had on others.

Thanks again my friend. You’ll never be forgotten and you’ll forever be at peace.
