Sidney's obituary

Sidney Garner Jones, Jr.
Sidney Garner Jones, Jr. was born in Rome , GA. on 11-10-51. He passed from this world to his eternal home on 10-6-21.
Sidney "Sid" Jones was an Army Veteran that proudly served his country in Anchorage Alaska. Sidney was baptized and he believed on Jesus Christ as the Lord and Savior of his life. You could always count on Sid to pray for you or with you. Sid did not need the wealth or materials of this world to find contentment or happiness. He would freely give the shirt off of his back to those in need. He found joy in knowledge and the beauty of love and nature all around him. He found peace and happiness in the riches that come from above. You could always find a friend, a word of encouragement, and a helping hand if you reached out to Sid. Sid lived on and believed strongly in the words " Treat others as you would want to be treated ". An avid reader and a talented writer, he could always spark a conversation or write an interesting piece with his intellect, wit, and insurmountable amount of knowledge. Sidney was named a Master Mason in Houston, TX.
Preceded in death by his father Sidney Garner Jones, Sr., his son Brian Sid Jones, and his loving wife Wendy Sue Jones. Survived by his mother Loretta Dean, his brothers Christopher and Dave Jones, daughter Paula Kay, Nine Grandchildren , and Great Grandchildren.
Quoted by Sidney
"I, The most humble servant of my Lord, seek knowledge, direction, evidence, from my Supreme God, Savior and Holy Spirit, to guide, influence, and encourage my people in the path of righteousness to serving and praising you, My Heavenly Father."
Amen
Our Life is Brief, But our Reward is Eternal.
Sidney is at Valley Funeral Home in Scottsboro, Al. Services are to be determined. Donations may be made to Scottsboro Public Library in his and his loving wife's name.
