Shyrone Mitchell, 66, of Maywood, IL, slept away on May 08, 2022 after a long battle with health issues.

Shyrone was born on October 24, 1955 to Lela and Artee Mitchell in Corinth, Mississippi. Shyrone graduated from Proviso East High School in Maywood, Illinois. Shyrone attended many trade schools and held positions in data entry, maintenance, security, real estate and was even a barber.  Shyrone was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. He was unendingly proud of his stepdaughter, Shaponi Nalls and his spouse, Veronica Riley and always tried his best to support them.


Shyrone was also a passionate guitarist and could often be found enjoying the outdoors when he wasn’t at home.


Anyone who knew Shyrone knew that he was the most loving father and husband a family could ask for. Shyrone was predeceased by his father Artee Mitchell. He is survived by his wife and best friend Veronica Riley, his stepdaughter Shaponi Nalls, his mother Lela Mitchell, brothers Latraius Mitchell (Tony Gray) and Tory Mitchell, sisters Felice Maclin (Arnold Sullivan) and Veronica A. Mitchell, his mother-in-law Loretta Patterson (Henry Patterson), brother-in-law Robert Jones (Karen Jones), along with a host of other relatives, family, and friends.

You always told me not to say goodbye. So I will see you later.
