With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Dorothy Wilkins, who left us peacefully on March 9, 2026. Born in 1971, Dorothy lived a life filled with warmth, humor, and kindness. Her vibrant personality made her the light in any room she entered, leaving an unforgettable mark on those she met.
Dorothy is survived by her loving daughter, Loretta Raine, her supportive sister, Frances Morgan, her cherished nephew, Maverick Morgan, her aunt, Julie Wilkins, and her many cousins. Sadly, she was predeceased by her parents, Shauna and Rich Wilkins, as well as her uncle, Randy Wilkins.
A gifted animal lover, Dorothy founded 'Wilkins Wildlife Park' in 2025, demonstrating her entrepreneurial spirit and dedication. She was a respected board member of the Greater Dallas Handbell Association, contributing significantly to the local community. Beyond her professional commitments, Dorothy was a devoted attendee of the Dallas New Life SDA Church, where she found joy and serenity.
Dorothy took pleasure in life's simples offerings. A fan of vegetarian food, she relished meals with family and friends. In her leisure time, she enjoyed watching CSI Miami and her favorite movie The Holiday. As a music lover, Adele songs often filled her home. Shyanne supported the Dallas Cowboys enthusiastically and found rejuvenation in practicing pilates. She loved exploring new places, with Puerto Rico being among her favorite vacation spots.
Dorothy was a compassionate woman whose love for animals led her to support causes such as the ASPCA. Her favorite color, red, was a perfect reflection of her bright and lively spirit. She often shared the importance of treating everyone with respect, a lesson that formed the bedrock of her interactions.
