It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Shirley "Surelay" Wells, who departed this life on November 8, 2024. Born on August 5, 1927, Shirley lived a life that was as unique and sparkling as her personality.

She was proceeded in death by Father Frank Araujo and Mother Rose Araujo, brother Norman Araujo and sister Felicia Moore , husband Kenneth Wells, and her beloved Foxy.  Survived by cousin Joseph Johnson (Robert Pierce) , nephew Frank Moore , great nephew Justin Moore (Hollie) great great nieces Elissa Moore , Aubrie Moore and great great niece Ashley Hohulin (Grant) great great great nephew Mads Hohulin and great great nephew Alex Arellano. 

A woman of exceptional character, Shirley was renowned for her wild sense of humor that lit up any room she entered. She was a beacon of joy and laughter, and her zest for life was contagiously uplifting.

There was a wisdom in Shirley's wit; her advice was often packaged in laughs but was deeply rooted in common sense. She often reiterated the importance of using common sense in life's decisions, a principle that she herself lived by and instilled in those around her.

In remembering Shirley, one cannot overlook her extraordinary spirit of generosity. It was as much a part of her as her unique brand of humor. Her generous nature was not limited to material possessions but extended to her time, advice, and infectious positivity.

Shirley's vivacity and spirit will continue to live on through all those whose lives she touched. Just like a diamond, she had a rough exterior, but the worth of her character and the radiance of her soul were undeniable. She will 'Surelay' be greatly missed.

Though we mourn her passing, we also celebrate a life beautifully lived and remember the laughter, joy, and wisdom she has left in her wake. Her legacy of fun, generosity, and common sense will continue to inspire and influence those who had the privilege of knowing her.
