Shirley's obituary
Henderson, TN - Shirley Wayne Oliver "Grandma", 84, formerly of Memphis, TN, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 2, 2020. She is the daughter of the late Wayne and Jesse Cox and sister of Ann Hale and the late Larry Cox.
Mrs. Oliver graduated from Treadwell High School in 1954. She was married to the late Beverly Oliver from 1956 until 1993 and to the late Gerald Canady from 1995 until 1997. She was a faithful member of Sovereign Grace Baptist Church. She dearly loved her family and was actively involved in their lives. She will be greatly missed by friends and family.
She is survived by her daughter, Leanne (Michael) Peace, and son, Louis Wayne (Carol) Oliver; Grandma’s Grandchildren: Shanna (Brett) Williams, Annie (Bobby) Syriac, Jessica (David) Epting, Landon (Wendy) Oliver, Holly Oliver, Michael Peace and Alan (Megan) Peace. Great grandchildren: Olivia Burton, Abigail Williams, Evelyn Williams, Gideon Epting, Aria Epting, Garett Peace, Logan Peace, and Lathen Peace.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks any memorials to be made to Sovereign Grace Baptist Church P.O. Box 1258 Millington, TN 38083-1258.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, September 8 for a visitation at 5:00 pm and service at 6:00 pm at First Baptist Church Fisherville, 11893 Macon Road in Eads, TN.
