      Shirley Lynn Cox

(March 1963-April 2023)

Shirley Lynn Greene Cox, 60, of Franklin, Indiana passed away on April 4, 2023 in Mooresville, Indiana. Born in Indianapolis, IN. She was the Daughter of Robert and Ruth Elizabeth Greene. Shirley grew up on Blazing Star Rd. in Wilbur and attended Hall Elementary and Monrovia High School. Shirley worked for Reed’s Construction Co. for many years and also as a Health Care worker.

Some of Shirley’s favorite hobbies included Cooking, Building home projects and wasn’t afraid to give anything a shot. She also liked to get together with her Monrovia school mates, plant flowers, have a small garden and listen to her favorite singer, Bob Seger singing her favorite song “Turn the Page”, but most of all Shirley loved Fishing.

She is survived by her Companion/Friend Allen Brown of Speedway, IN who was her fishing buddy, her Daughter Elizabeth Espinoza of Greenwood, her Son Mark Austin of Mooresville and Daughter Jennifer Cox of Indianapolis. Siblings include Richard (Brenda) Greene of Cold Springs, Texas, Beverly (Albert) Fox of Plainfield, Indiana, Patricia (Michael) Morgan of Martinsville, Indiana, Ronald Greene of Ellettsville, Indiana and Donna Greene of Welland, Canada. She had several grandchildren: Alexa, Chloe, Silas and Ryleigh and many nieces and nephews. Shirley was preceded in death by both her parents and her brother Robert (Bobby) Greene and a granddaughter, Lila Espinoza.
