Shirley was an icon to all us kids. So many great memories. It was an honor to be a part of the family. We send all the best to you guys and Shirley will be incredibly missed. Much love.
I'm so sorry for the loss of Shirley. I'll always think of her whenever I see a student struggling with learning to speak or prepare a debate. Shirley and I coached together for many years. Although we were at different schools, she always was willing to give me advice for my own program. Later on when we were in CHSSA leadership, we spent many hours together working towards improving oral communication in the state of California. After we stepped away from that endeavor, Shirley and I spent many wonderful days together in my home. She was wonderful to have here and was such an easy person to have around. I got to meet many of her Cupertino friends and we enjoyed afternoons of visits and great food and even better Chardonnay. I cannot imagine a time without her and the last weeks are no exception. I shall miss her with my whole heart. God bless you, Shirley. Thank you for being one of my best friends.
