SHIRLEY'S OBITUARY

Shirley Louise Bragg, age 74, of Irish Mountain, WV passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at CAMC Memorial Division in Charleston, WV.

Born on July 22, 1948 in Hinton, she was the daughter of the late Charles Meadows and Maycle Richmond Meadows.

Mrs. Bragg was a homemaker, and was a member of New Salem Baptist Church at Abraham. She loved flower gardening, cultivating her fruit trees, and reading her Bible.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Granville “Brother” Bragg; a grandson, Jaxson Adkins; a brother-in-law Roger Lee Bragg.

Those survivors left to cherish her memory include her children: Granville Bragg Jr. of Irish Mountain, Gregory Bragg and wife Virginia of Grandview, Timothy Bragg and wife Janice of Irish Mountain, Annette Flacy and husband Dean ”Taz” of Martinsburg, WV, Laura Allen and husband Paul of Irish Mountain, Tommy Bragg and wife Carlisha of Grandview; sisters, Ruth Bragg of Irish Mountain, Sharon O’Hara and Tom of Angier, NC, and Sandra Garten and Bobby of Raleigh Ridge. Twenty grandchildren, including four grandchildren that she reared, Steven Bragg of Shady Spring, Johnny Bragg of Pluto, Jessie Bragg of Irish Mountain, and Haley Bragg of Beckley; thirteen great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

A funeral service will be held at the Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at 5 PM with Pastor William Plumley officiating. Burial will follow at the Bragg Family Cemetery at Irish Mountain. Friends may visit with the family from 6 PM until 9 PM on Monday May 1, 2023 at the funeral home.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
