It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Shirley Boudreaux, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend. Born on September 17, 1937, Shirley lived a life full of love, warmth and care. She departed from this world on May 21, 2005, but her legacy continues to inspire and comfort all those who were lucky enough to know her.
Shirley was best described by those who knew her as a woman of beautiful warmth, who had a loving and caring personality. She firmly believed that everything happens for a reason and always emphasized the importance of family. To Shirley, to love as hard as you can was not just a phrase, but a doctrine she lived by throughout her life.
Among her many accomplishments, two moments hold a special place in her memory - attending a concert of her idol, Elvis Presley, and marrying the love of her life Ernest Boudreaux . These instances from her life brilliantly illustrate her capacity for experiencing joy and cultivating love.
Shirley is survived by her loving granddaughter, Stacie Audilet, and grandson E.J Martin and is followed in death by her cherished daughter, Mrs. Becky Martin. Her Husban her soul mate Ernest Boudreaux Her memory will forever be held dear in the hearts of her friends and family.
Her legacy is a testament to the remarkable woman she was. Shirley had the unique ability to always know what to say and exactly what you needed. Her presence lit up a room, and she was always the heart of every family gathering. She was undeniably the most caring, generous woman you could ever hope to meet, a devoted wife, and a loving family matriarch.
Shirley's absence is deeply felt, and her loss is indescribable. She is affectionately remembered as 'Mawmaw,' a term of endearment that echoes her warm, loving nature. We draw comfort from the thought of her being free from pain, singing with the angels, and hope that she is at peace until we meet her again. Shirley, you will always and forever remain in our hearts.
