In Loving Memory of Shirlene G. Deal
June 13, 1950 – April 15, 2026
Shirlene G. Deal, 75, passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 15, 2026, following a courageous, long-term battle with illness. Throughout her journey, she maintained the grace and strength that defined her life, leaving behind a legacy of love and compassion.
Shirlene was a woman of deep devotion to her family. She is survived by her beloved husband of 53 years, Larry A. Deal Sr., who remained her steadfast partner through every season of life. Her memory will be cherished by her children, Larry A. Deal Jr. and his wife, Lisa Deal; and Doug M. Deal and his wife, Jillian Gilroy.
She was a proud and doting grandmother to Isabella, Genevieve, Vivienne, and Jenesis, all of whom brought immense joy and light to her later years.
Known for her kind spirit, Mrs. Deal was an avid animal lover who found great peace and happiness in the company of her furry friends. Her home and heart were always open to those in need, a trait that endeared her to many in her community.
Celebration of Life
A service to celebrate Shirlene’s life will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at La Plata United Methodist Church.
Visitation: 11:30 AM (Family Greeting)
Service: 12:00 PM
Reception: Refreshments will be served in the church hall immediately following the service.
