We are saddened to announce the passing of Shirleen Robinette, fondly known as Granny. She was born on November 18, 1941 in Sioux City, Iowa. Shirleen was a long time resident of Unicoi, TN and ascended to her eternal rest on February 17, 2025. 

Shirleen leaves behind a host of loved ones who will forever cherish her memory. She is survived by her devoted husband, Dewey E Robinette Jr, her caring children Dean Robinette (Laura Robinette) and Leane Robinette, and her brother, Michael Jones, her grandchildren - Andrea Robinette (Larry Davis), Amanda Robinette Walker (Justin Walker), Stephanie Robinette, Shauna Robinette, Ashia Nadeau, Joshua Robinette (Krista Robinette), and Savannah Robinette (Jeremy Sumner). Her life was further enriched by her 10 great grandchildren- Hannah Davis, Jared Dawkins (Kaidin), Gavin Tipton, Peyton Nasser, Christian Nasser, Olivia Nasser, Zach Tipton, Nevaeh Gossett, Briar Hicks, and Lincoln Robinette; and numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. 

Shirleen was predeceased by her beloved son, Michael "Mike" Robinette, her granddaughter Rhiannon "Doodle" Gossett, her brother Leonard Jones, her sister Marsha Looney, and her parents, Ruby Johnson Jones and Clarence Jones.

During her lifetime, Shirleen was a member of the Unicoi Church of God. She enjoyed listening to the music of Elvis Presley. She loved filling her house in angels, loved one’s art, souvenirs and Elvis memorabilia. She loved engaging in family games, especially Rook and Yahtzee. Spending quality time with her family was Shirleen's primary recreational activity. She cherished her family trips and, to her, any place was a vacation spot as long as she was surrounded by her loved ones. 

Shirleen was a woman of strength, spirit, and determination. Shirleen made sure to be included and she didn’t miss anything. She was a blend of fun, silliness, kindness, and determination. One of her valuable lessons to her loved ones was to forgive; never go to sleep mad at someone. The memory of all her quotes and silly jokes will be cherished by loved ones. As a nurse, she made significant contributions to her community. While in California she married the love of her life 64 yrs ago, and built a beautiful family. Her legacy will always be about creating beautiful memories with loved ones.
