Shirl was as unique as the spelling her first name! I student taught in her classroom in 1976 and learned much from her! She had a zest for everything she did in life! To me she was a real live Puppy Longstocking who went on experiences I could imagine but never do! I know she loved her family and feel sad for your loss! She got a lot of milege as well as quality out of her life!!!!!

I met Shirl on Odyssey 2000, I was on the staff of that trip for a year and she always had a smile and loved riding her bike. I remember many times her visits to the Seattle area and we would get together.
She is now free of pain and bicycling in the clouds. As I sit here today my heart aches for her family and their loss of this sweet loveable person. May your memories of your mom, grandma, great grandma and friend live in your hearts for ever. Prayers for you all.

Thankful that your mom has received her heavenly reward. As a kid I remember always being welcome at the Kenney home for little girl sleepovers, birthday parties and just hanging out jumping on the trampoline with Kristen and Kathy. Her legacy of sweetness is seen in her children and that is a great testimony that will last for generations. Well done, Shirl!
