Sheryl's obituary

Sheryl Ann Foster, 67, of Windsor, CA passed away on February 22, 2021 after a 4-month battle with brain cancer.

Sheryl was born on November 10, 1953 to Edon Jr. and Mae Rose in Amarillo, TX. After graduating from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1971, she went on to study Secretarial studies at Eastville College in Dallas, TX.

In 1967, she met Dave and they wed in 1972, going on to have 2 children, Brian and Lisa.

Motherhood was the passion behind Sheryl’s life, supporting and loving her children throughout their many successes and difficulties. She made it her mission to love them deeply and fully, forever and always. Sheryl’s love for both her children and grandchildren showed in every way. Being with children and watching them grow was the absolute joy of her life.

Sheryl loved music, dancing and passing a good time. Her heart for her family in Texas and Louisiana was big and the times when she was sitting with family around a big table of crawfish or dancing on the dance floor were to her, the very best. Sheryl had many friends from many walks of life. She had a way of lighting up a room whenever she was around. She traveled to many places around the world with Dave and soaked up every moment. Sheryl had a deep and strong belief that everyone in the world deserves kindness and love, and her empathic heart made her a person that many people gravitated to.

Sheryl is survived by her husband, William David Foster, children Brian (Marissa) and Lisa (Sara), mother Mae Rose Gaspard, father EJ Gaspard, sisters Pam Nelson and Vicki Haseloff, brother David Gaspard, and grandchildren (Brian) Kendra, James, Elizabeth and many other nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made toward curing brain cancer or your desired charity. There will be a funeral service at St. John’s the Baptist Catholic Church in Healdsburg, CA on Friday, March 5 at 11:00am. The church is presently allowing 25% occupancy (300 persons) and will be adhering to all Covid safety precautions. There will be a private burial service for the family immediately following the funeral. A celebration of Sheryl’s life is planned for April or May.
