Sherry's obituary

Sherry Lee Zeller-Cox peacefully transitioned on February 7, 2025, at home in Polo, Missouri at the age of 67. Sherry was born on June 24, 1957, in Independence, Missouri to Charlie and Millie Zeller.

Sherry married Leland Cox on June 21, 1999. They lived in Polo, Missouri. Sherry had a child from a previous marriage, (Brett Dyer-Zeller). Leland also had a child from a previous marriage, (LeAnn Frances Cox) Sherry was a single mother raising her child until she married Leland. Sherry worked at UPS where her and Leland met after 15 years of employment at UPS Sherry resigned to go to work as a veterinary technician and her love for animals made this work very rewarding. Sherry worked several years as a veterinary technician until she became physically disabled. Sherry loved her horses and her grandchildren. Sherry enjoyed taking care of her family. She was happiest seeing her family together. Leland and Sherry were married 25 years.

Sherry is proceeded in death by her parents Charlie and Millie Zeller. Sherry is survived by her husband Leland Cox, and her brother Randy (Linda) Zeller. Her children Brett Dyer-Zeller and LeAnn (Kip) Krupka, her grandchildren Olivia Evon Dyer-Zeller and Reed Jackson Krupka, many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Sherry (mom and grandma) showed her family love, which they will forever carry in their hearts. Sherry’s smile will always be remembered. She is no longer in pain after dealing with several medical issues over the years.

Sherry’s Celebration of Life will be on Friday, February 14, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Northland Christian Church, 6120 NE 48th Street, Kansas City, MO 64119. There will be no service afterwards. The family asks each guest to say their own personal prayer for Sherry’s.

The Church will be available for flower Deliveries from 1:45pm until 3:00p.

Perhaps you sent a lovely card or sat quietly in a chair; perhaps you sent a funeral piece. If so, we saw it there, perhaps you spoke the kindest words any friend could say; perhaps you were not here at all and just thought of us that day. Whatever you did to console our hearts, we thank you so much whatever the part……

In times of great difficulty or grief, we can turn to God in prayers for strength to say, "Please give me strength, Oh Lord!" "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Isaiah 41:10
