Sherry's obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Sherry Ingram (née Griffith), a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Born on August 23, 1952, Sherry embodied a spirit of resilience and love throughout her life, and she departed this world on July 18, 2025.
Sherry is survived by her devoted husband, Robert Ingram, with whom she shared an incredible 50 years of marriage since their union in 1975. Her life's joy stemmed from her role as a mother to her two cherished daughters, Angela Ingram-Glinskie and Catherine Ingram. Sherry's legacy continues through her adored grandchildren, Simon Ingram and Sophia Ingram-Glinskie. She also leaves behind four sisters, Sandra Freeman, Valerie Merritts, Rebecca Ryan, and Rhoda Hall, who will miss her laughter, wisdom, and warm sisterly bond.
Sherry is preceded in death by her late father Charles Griffith, her late mother Tillie Lorraine Griffith, her brother, Clem Weaverling and Linda Petron. They are reminders of our mortality, but also of the love that Sherry fostered during her lifetime.
In 1997, Sherry had an achievement that she was immensely proud of - her graduation from Cosmetology school, which showcased her creative talent and passion for helping others feel their best.
Sherry had a vibrant personality and an array of interests that brought joy and contentment to her life. She cherished the simple pleasure of reading, particularly the Bible and historical romance novels. She was a fan of a variety of music, including religious music by the Gaithers and Elvis Presley topping her list. Memorable times were spent watching her favorite movies, Top Gun and Gone With The Wind.
Sherry's favorite things included- Pepsi, Sprite, Snowballs, and Ding Dongs. These reflected her lively spirit, as did her love for the color emerald green. The beach was her favorite place to escape, relax, and rejuvenate. But above all else, the cause she held closest to her heart was her family, whom she held above all else.
Sherry Ingram was a remarkable woman with a heart full of love for her family and friends. Her memory will be carried in the hearts of all who knew her, and she will be dearly missed.
