Sher's obituary
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Sher Paradise, a remarkable woman and beloved member of our community, on December 18, 2023. Born on March 5, 1950, Sher brightened the world with a myriad of passions, a strong spirit, and a heart full of laughter.
Sher will be deeply missed by her loving family, including her daughter Alisha Rice and her grandchildren, Sylvie and Felix Kates. Sher's humor, silliness, and warmth will continue to live on through them.
Sher's love for art was as vibrant as her personality, with a fondness for bright and colorful pieces. She painted her nails daily to match her outfit, kept her hair flamingo pink and loved to wear tie dye.
Sher found peace and happiness in horticulture, covering every available surface with propagating plant babies, loved online coloring, and to immerse herself in music and movies. She was a prodigious letter writer and dedicated penpal to many friends old and new.
Being a true lover of nature and animals, Sher was a proud supporter of ASPCA and World Wildlife Fund. Locally, she could be found enjoying the picturesque view at Naples Pier. Sher had a unique love for all colors, analogous to her love for all aspects of life.
Sher was never one to shy away from speaking her mind. Her stubbornness and strength were part of her charm and her guidance always conveyed an important lesson, "It's okay to be yourself". She embraced her individuality and encouraged others to do the same.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that you consider contributing to a fund set up to assist with Sher's funeral expenses. Donations can be made through everloved.com/life-of/sher-pa…
We find comfort in knowing Sher lived her life to the fullest despite many setbacks, leaving a lasting impact on everyone she met. Her spirit and lessons will forever resonate within us. May she rest in paradise.
