Sheng Kun's obituary
Ms. Sheng Kun Hu, age 92, passed away on December 13, 2024.
Sheng Kun grew up in his beloved rural area of Zhejiang, China and moved to Shanghai after getting married. She immigrated to the US in 1992 and resided in Coppell for 20 years before moving to Dallas.
Sheng Kun worked as an elementary music and PE teacher while in China. She helped raise two grandsons, one graduated from medical school and became a surgeon in 2023, and the second grandson will be graduating from medical school in May 2025. She also gave her time to help new immigrants and contributed to the local community.
Sheng Kun was passionate about helping others, and she has left a legacy of kindness and compassion for her family and friends. She loves nature and enjoyed hiking at Andy Brown East park in Coppell.
Sheng Kun is survived by her son Charles Chow and his wife Petty Chow, daughter, Siyi Chow and her husband Ciming Tang, three grandchildren, Kevin Chow, Brandon Chow, Mark Tang and his wife Ji Jin, as well as her sister Sheng Qin Hu and many beloved nephews and nieces. Sheng Kun, a loving mother and grandmother, will be greatly missed.
