Shelly's obituary
Shelly Kennedy-Schenk, affectionately known as Aunt Chewy, passed away after several months of illness, on November 19, 2025 due to Klatskins Tumors/Bile Duct liver cancer. She was surrounded at home by her family, including her husband of 27 years, Lance Schenk, her siblings: Karen Dransfield, Debbie Martin, Linda & Joe Young, Sherry Lallow-Johnson, Dave & Michelle Lallow, her niece Angela Powell, her BFF & brother-in-law, Larry York, her sister-in-law, Lori Spencer-Labron and our Nephew, Christopher Jon Stuart, may he also, RIP.
Shelly was born in Fort Wayne, IN on August 3, 1967 to Edward and Naomi Kennedy. Her vibrant personality, infectious laughter and compassionate spirit will forever be remembered. She is survived by her beloved husband, Lance Schenk, five siblings including four of their spouses and about six dozen+ nieces and nephews.
Shelly's profound love for her family and unyielding kindness will forever be a cherished legacy in the hearts of those she knew & lives she touched. May we all remember the joyous times, her toxic laughter, her unyielding generosity and above all, her unwavering compassion for her family and for her job.
The NAVL Beltmann Group was Shelly’s second family and in 30 years she never missed a day. We are indebted to the way they took care of Shelly and her family.
