Shelly Rebecca Bryant, age 50, passed away surrounded by loved ones after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. Shelly was a compassionate soul who loved deeply and lived with a heart full of kindness—especially for animals.

Shelly was a devoted wife to Jason Bryant, whom she had known since high school, and a loving mother to her daughter, Skyler Prewitt. She is also survived by her mother, Sue Greer; her siblings, Shawn Brown—her twin brother—Susan Smith, and Sara Carter; her stepchildren, Madison Bryant, Jaycie Borden, Christopher Bryant, and Derek Bryant; and her grandchildren, Levi Gibson and Josie Borden. She was a proud aunt to her nieces and nephews: Bella Brown, Samantha Carter, Thomas Smith, Owen Smith, and Cooper Brown.

Shelly worked as a pet groomer at the Gadsden Animal Clinic, where she poured her heart into caring for every animal that came through the door. Her gentle spirit, sharp wit, and unwavering love for animals left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.

Shelly’s love, warmth, and laughter will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and the many pets lucky enough to be in her care.

A service to honor her life will be held on Saturday, May 10th with family and close friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to your local animal shelter in her memory.
